Meet Tucci

As a child I loved running errands with my dad. Being shy my father trusted me to be well behaved. One Saturday I accompanied him to the home of one of his affluent clients. It took me seconds to realize that this home was unique and my shy nature turned to unbridled enthusiasm. The entry was filled with photographs, rare artifacts and stones from all over the world. I tried to restrain myself but my body language screamed excitement.

 

The couple who owned the home asked me a few questions about my interests. They were delighted with my deep interest in rocks and asked me to follow them outside. In their backyard I was shown a hillside garden filled with rocks of all sizes, shapes and colors.  They told me to choose anything I wanted as their gift to me.

 

I still remember the visceral connection I had to these rocks. I knew these rocks were magical. I choose a small rock that I hoped they wouldn’t miss. When I returned to the living room, they asked me to show them my choice. I saw the disappointment on their faces. The woman picked up a box and took me back to the rock garden and filled up the box. As they placed each rock in the box, they explained to me where it was from, how it was formed and how old it was. The last rock was a chunk of Iron Pyrite. I was mesmerized by its beauty and felt a deep contentment with my new knowledge.

 

The couple continued showing me their collection of crystals, fossils and even a meteorite – a rock from space! I had met my first geologists and they welcomed me into this special club. I intuitively understood rocks were a gateway to adventures and mysteries.  

 

Rock collecting opened my eyes to the world. Chasing rocks has taken me to almost 50 countries. My pockets are rarely without a rock, a gem, or a novel object I find on the street. Rock stores are my source of nirvana. I’ve jumped into rivers, oceans, and even a live volcano to capture a stone that called to me. 

 

In my almost 7 decades of life, I have been fortunate to fill my years with a variety of adventures. Along my journeys I have acquired new skills and as well as a new name.  Tucci is a nick name given to me by an Italian opera singer who owned a restaurant where I worked in Los Angeles. Tucci is a term of endearment that has stuck with me.  This is the reason behind the name of my company Tuccibeads.com. My skills include certifying as an Ayurvedic health coach and meditation instructor with the Chopra Center along with completing certifications in Reiki healing. These skills provide me with a deep reverence for life and nature.

 

Stones have attributes that we can use to improve our lives e.g., Shungite is a stone that has been proven to reduce or eliminate Electro Magnetic Frequencies (EMFs). “Everything is energy and that’s all there is to it. This is not philosophy, This is physics.” Albert Einstein. Stones are energy and so are we. Our minds possess the energy to manifest our desires in life through how we think. Victor Frankl’s powerful book “Man’s Search for Meaning” as well as Norman Vincent Peale’s book “The Power of Positive Thinking” inspired my quest of goal setting. In the early 70’s I completed a course that taught me how to be in charge of my thoughts and use the power of my mind to achieve my goals. We all have desires that we hope for in the future. The problem is the future never arrives. Affirmations change desires or goals- to present tense and positive. Every Tucci Beads bracelet has an affirmation related to the meaning of the beads- health, wealth, wisdom, transformation and so on.

Hope statement: I will someday be good at art.

Affirmation statement: I AM a good artist; I enjoy my skill as an artist. I practice my skills and excel.

An affirmation statement is much more powerful as it shifts from hope for the future to a belief in the present.
